Almost ten years have passed since the initial release of Grand Theft Auto 5, and three iterations of the game later, fans are primed for its sequel. For a while, it seemed grand theft auto 6 it was quite an elusive game, as no official news about the title could be found.
However, in 2022, Rockstar finally revealed what many expected, that the work on GTA 6 had actually started. Even with the official confirmation that the next Grand Theft Auto title was on the way, this didn’t stop fan speculation and theories from circulating the internet.
Now that the fans know that grand theft auto 6 is real and in development, it seems that the alleged leaks and rumors about the game have increased. A few days ago, a leak about GTA 6 made big claims about the game’s story, setting, and much more. Now, another potential leak has been spotted online via an alleged Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer.
The trailer itself was not found in video form, rather user ‘GTA 6 NEWS AND LEAKS’ posted what appeared to be a screenshot of the beginning of a trailer for grand theft auto 6. Supposedly, this trailer was on Rockstar’s YouTube channel, obviously hidden from public view, and has since been taken down, as the second screenshot posted on Twitter shows.
GTA 6 NEWS AND LEAKS claims that they did not take these photos, and that someone sent them the screenshots. At first, this trailer leak seems like it can’t be true. This is mainly due to the fact that the screenshot that supposedly features the trailer shows the ESRB rating of grand theft auto 6.
Typically, a game is rated by boards like the ESRB shortly before its release. Considering that even the most optimistic people in the gaming community have said that Grand Theft Auto 6 is likely to release sometime in 2024 or 2025, it seems that this leak is almost certainly false.
However, despite the likelihood that this trailer is fake, there is a chance that Rockstar has something in store for its fans. There are currently rumors circulating the internet that the Grand Theft Auto 6 reveal will happen in early July, with prominent leaker Tom Henderson also claiming that the company will show off a big game in that same month.
