This year will be the end of the FIFA saga to make way for a new title: EA Sports FC.
In less than 15 days since FIFA 23 was released, some 10.3 million units were sold.
According to a recent report, the growth of women’s soccer has been 146 percent.
There are a few months left for the end of FIFA 23 and, in general, of the saga, and it is time for EA Sports to announce new women’s soccer content in order to continue adding sales to what is presumed to be its most successful title.
Since last year it was known that FIFA 23 would be the last in the EA Sports saga, one of the most successful in the video game industry, also positioning itself as the best-selling soccer video game for the North American company.
And it is that, Electronic Arts, in a report published at the end of last year, announced that, in less than 15 days since FIFA 23 was released, some 10.3 million units were sold, exceeding what was done with FIFA 22 , and setting a new sales record.
“The response from our fans has been incredible, and we are thrilled that our community is playing their favorite players and teams in FIFA 23 in record numbers.”mentioned Nick Wlodyka, General Manager of EA Sports.
That said, we are talking about one of the most successful EA Sports video games in its history, not only for its sales, but for the acceptance of its audience that, despite losing important licenses (Liga MX is an example of this), its Popularity continues to grow, as Konami’s eFootball continues to show bugs.
However, the video game market is one of the most important, which, moreover, in recent years has been “moving” towards digital, where it has shown relevant growth in terms of sales.
Newzoo data published by gamesindustry make known that 94.2 percent of all video games sold in the world during 2022 were in digital format.
FIFA 23 goes for the Champions League and other women’s football content
FIFA 23, as we have already seen, is the most successful soccer video game today and, to a large extent, this is due to the fact that it has been developing relevant content for the industry itself.
In this sense, one of the most important was the inclusion of women’s soccer content, adding the Barclays Women’s Super League (England) and the Division 1 Arkema (France), which, in total, add up to 24 teams available to FIFA users and fans.
Now, facing a new video game update, FIFA 23 will add the Women’s Champions League (UWCL) and four teams from Europe: Real Madrid CF, VfL Wolfsburg, Juventus and Eintracht Frankfurt.
On the other hand, another of the contents that will come to FIFA 23 is the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL)the American league and one of the most important in the world, which will have the 12 teams that make it up, including their uniforms and licensed players, as well as four official stadiums.
The National Women’s Soccer League is coming to The World’s Game on March 15th.

These new content will be available for Next Gen consoles from March 15 and for “old” consoles it is not known when they will arrive, although that will be known in the coming days.
Women’s football continues to grow, as confirmed by a report from Nielsen IBOPE, in which he points out that the growth of women’s soccer has been 146 percent, which is why various interest groups place greater focus on promoting cultural change in favor of female inclusion.
