FERGIE ASKS FOR LEGAL CUSTODY OF HER 5-YEAR-OLD SON
Fergie was married to actor Josh Duhamel (she appears in Transformers movies as Colonel William Lennox) for 5 years, she even legally changed her name, instead of using her maiden name: Fergie Ann Ferguson, she signed like Fergie Duhamel for legal documents. Now she is also asking the judge to be able to legally use her maiden name again.
Fergie and Josh have been separated since April 2017, but they are good friends as a former partner for their son Axl, they get together to play sports or spend weekends together. Josh has stated in some media: “Fergie and I get along very well, I love her and I always will, but ours did not work, I know I have her, she is the mother of my baby.”
Do you remember that in 2018 Josh Duhamel dated the Mexican actress Eiza González? Their relationship was also fleeting.
ARE YOU SEPARATING FROM YOUR PARTNER?
If you have wondered what is the best way to help your family go through your divorce, it is important that you consider that each family situation is different. But the following suggestions will help you make this process less painful for your family and child.
It is extremely important that you help your child manage his feelings. Encourage him to share with you what he thinks and feels about the separation.
Don’t try to change how your child feels.
Listen to what your child has to say.
Be grateful that your child is honest with you.
Usually, children almost always take the separation from their parents in a bad way and they may blame you or your ex-partner for what is happening. Therefore, you should be prepared to answer sensitive questions.
Be clear with what you feel and say it head-on, if you are sad, tell your son “I am sad.” Make it clear that it is normal to feel this way sometimes.
Talk to your child and tell them that they will face the situation together.
