“Fast & Furious 10”: maximum action and a brilliant Jason Momoa

This note could contain spoilers. “Fast & Furious 10” continues the story of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his group of car fanatic friends. Several years have passed since the last installment and Dom’s son has grown up. He is a boy who admires his father and who, like him, loves nuts. Dom lives in his house with Letty, in a quiet environment, but still collaborating on special missions with the intelligence agencies of the United States.

It is just on a new mission, which he will send his friends, in which he discovers that a ghost from the past is going to haunt him. This is Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa), who is nothing more and nothing less than the son of Hernán Reyes, the main villain of the fifth installment of the saga. Reyes Jr. wants Toretto to suffer and pay for everything he suffered when his father died. For Dante “death is not enough”. Of course he will pursue Brian (Toretto’s son), which will lead to his brother Jakob (John Cena) helping Dom to protect his nephew.

The movie is loaded with special effects, and while the main script may not be all that appealing, Jason Momoa and his character stole the spotlight. The villain in this film has a sarcastic humor that borders on the “creepy”. A black humor that resembles a Joker. You will have moments of laughter, surprise and fear, all thanks to this brilliant character. Although we miss the presence of Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson), we will only tell you not to get up from your seat and stay to watch the post-credit scenes. Because although it was said that the “Fast and Furious” movies would be ten, apparently this will not be the end.

How do you look back on the entire franchise now?

You know, I’m lucky that I am a part of this franchise and to be one of the storytellers in a mythology that has lasted for almost a quarter of a century.

What would you say is unique about it?

What’s unique about the Fast and the Furious franchise is that there were never any legacy fans. There were no comics, no video games, no TV shows, no movie remakes, no Tolkienian authors to give us a model. Every fan who has ever embraced this saga as their own has done so solely on the merits of the films we have created.

How does it feel to be back in the Fast & Furious universe?

It feels so good to be back! It’s very rare to be in a franchise that has been around for over 20 years. This is a global phenomenon that I am very happy to be a part of.

Jakob comes to the rescue here at Fast X! The Toretto family has been attacked and Dom calls on her little brother to help protect them. So, I become the guardian of his son, Little B.
