The Xbox Game Pass subscription service continues to increase its catalog and this week we saw the arrival of an AAA game from Ubisoft that had been released in 2018: far cry 5. Starting this weekend it is possible to download and play Far Cry 5 on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S thanks to Xbox GamePassplus it’s available on Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Far Cry 5 is the first Ubisoft game to arrive on Xbox Game Pass in July, following the arrival of Assassin’s Creed: Origins and For Honor: Marching Fire Edition on the service in June. To celebrate, Ubisoft held a special Twitch stream with the Ubisoft News team playing Far Cry 5.

Far Cry 5 is an open world first-person shooter developed by Ubisoft Montreal, in which we travel to Montana to free a community from a deadly cult led by Joseph Seed. In Far Cry 5 we must not only face the dangerous cult, but we will also have to survive nature and its wild animals.
In addition to being available on Xbox Game Pass, Far Cry 5 is heavily discounted at the Microsoft Store and can be had for just $14.99 USD (regular price is $59.99). You can also get Far Cry 5 alongside other games in the franchise in bundles like the Far Cry Anthology Bundle, the Far Cry Insanity Bundle, or the Far Cry 5 Ultimate Edition which includes all of the DLC.
In January of this year it was announced that the Ubisoft+ service will reach Xbox consoles this year and since then it is believed that it could also reach Xbox Game Pass, possibly in a smaller plan like Ubisoft+ Classics that came to Sony consoles with the new PlayStation Plus. Meanwhile, we would continue to see Ubisoft games coming to the Xbox Game Pass service as we have seen in recent months.
