According to the publication, the port of Super Mario Galaxy for Nintendo DS was developed with a custom graphics engine and can be played on real hardware, so we could transfer it to an R4 card to play it on our consoles. In 2007 Pablo Belmonte made a video imagining Super Mario Galaxy running on the Nintendo DS, which served as the inspiration for this new fan-made port. Mario Galaxy was ported to the Nintendo DS by Jelle, Gericom, Stomatol, and Ermelber.
