This Friday the list of summoned to the Peruvian teamwith a view to the friendlies that will be played against South Korea and before Japan, the next June 16 and 20, respectively: the objective is to arrive with everything at the start of the Qualifiers, in September. Although the sports part has already been working on it Juan Reynoso and its technical command, logistics and all the details of this tour of Asia correspond to Antonio Garcia Pye. What complications will it have and how do you plan to solve it?
in dialogue with Radio Ovationthe team manager in the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) explained that “This tour is quite complicated, due to distances and schedules. You have to deal with a lot of possibilities, as we always wait for the final list from the coach.”. Likewise, he announced that they have a contingency plan anyway, in relation to the names that are usually called the ‘bicolor’.
“Based on experience, one has an idea of the players who are going to be there and has an idea of when their matches end and the dates on which they could arrive.”, he added. One of the points against are the schedules: “There will be a difference of 25 hours [en vuelos] and then you have to change the 14 hour difference [respecto a Tokio y a Seul]. It is complicated so we are trying to advance as much as we can”.
Prior to each call for soccer players, the FPF sends letters to the teams where the possible calls to the national team are active. In this sense, García Pye specified that “It is always sent to all the clubs and it is specified that it is an official call, but then it is decided who will be considered for the two games. I calculate that there must be between 15 or 17 players from abroad, plus those who join the local tournament”.
However, there will not only be complications at the international level, because in the Peruvian championship some details will also have to be dealt with. “Here the clubs are in international tournaments and in League 1. Those who play abroad have not yet finished their tournaments and FIFA is only made a few days before”, he explained. With this in mind, they already have drawn up what measure to apply.
“Most of those who play abroad will travel directly; there are exceptional cases, which will come from here. When we have the definitive list, they will be able to work here for two or three days. Most likely, we will travel in two or three groups, since there are some players from the local tournament who have Cup matches or the local tournament. In the extreme case, they will be arriving on the 12th, which is the maximum date, everything will depend on the list on Friday”, he narrated.
Regarding the case of Gianluca Lapadula, the manager responded that “at the latest, the 12th should be released and we are working on it”; while in the case of Oliver Sonne, whom the national DT visited on his last tour of Europe, he explained that “At this moment, nothing has been requested, the trip is complicated, the work days are going to be reduced there. Also, to date he does not have organized eligibility [aún quedan documentos por tramitar]”.
