Apple recently announced that they will hold a new special event on October 18 to present new products. So far we can’t confirm anything officially, but everything seems to point to the company with the bitten apple logo presenting new MacBook Pro models, but … there will be a few more surprises!
Recall that Apple already held a keynote on September 14th on the occasion of the presentation of the new line of iPhone 13 and other products such as the sixth generation iPad mini or the Apple Watch Series 7. It is very common for the Cupertino firm to celebrate various events at the end of the year. In fact, the only exception in recent times was last year.
Many eyes will fall on the stage – it is more than likely that it is an event broadcast via streaming for obvious reasons – on October 18 to discover what hardware news the apple company has in store for us. But thanks to the hundreds and hundreds of rumors that circulate around Apple, we already know a priori everything that is going to be presented in Monday’s keynote. Alert, they come SPOILERS!
All the new products that Apple will present in its next keynote
1. A new 14-inch MacBook Pro
From iDrop News They assure that this coming Monday Apple will present two models of MacBook Pro. One of them will have a 14-inch screen and, of course, will have a built-in updated version of the popular M1 processor already present in the last generations of MacBook Pro and MacBook Air.
Apple wants the power of Apple Silicon to expand across its entire product line and evolve over the years. Last year the firm implemented its M1 chip in its laptops to offer maximum power and impressive performance, but in terms of design there were not many advances.
The new 14-inch MacBook Pro will hit the market to replace the 13-inch MacBook Pro and will feature a version of the Apple Silicon processor with a chip. M1X. Many analysts thought that Apple would launch an M2 chip, but the performance jump will not be that high.
In terms of design, we can expect a MacBook Pro finer, with different color tones, more ports, more advanced camera and with a mini LED screen that will completely change the concept we have of the Apple laptop. The question is, will we finally see Face ID on a MacBook Pro?
2. A totally redesigned 16-inch MacBook Pro
Apple has been producing its new line of MacBook Pro laptops for a few months now, specifically since August and will have 800,000 units available according to DigiTimes. If before we were talking about a model with a 14-inch screen, now we do the same with the new 16-inch model.
The 16-inch MacBook Pro will hit the market with a major design makeover. We would be talking about the reducing the size of the screen bezels and of a thinner thickness. On the other hand, this model is also expected to have more ports, an SD card reader and possibly an HDMI port.
Some analysts also believe that Apple will incorporate a MagSafe connector.
3. The official release of macOS 12 Monterey
Over the last few months we have seen Apple finally launch the official versions of iOS 15, iPadOS 15, watchOS 8, tvOS 15 and HomePod 15. But so far we have not seen a trace of macOS 12 Monterey. What better opportunity to launch the new version of the operating system for Mac than after introducing your new 2021 MacBook Pros?
macOS 12 Monterey will offer all kinds of software news to Apple Macs: Universal Control, Shortcuts, AirPlay improvements, a big update for Safari, Spatial Audio in FaceTime, SharePlay, Live Text and much, much more.
4. A much more powerful Mac mini
Another of the great surprises that can await us in the keynote on October 18 is the stellar appearance on the scene of a very powerful Mac mini whose launch has been rumored for a long time.
There are many possibilities that this year Apple will surprise us with a Mac mini with a chip M1X. In fact, rumors predict that it will feature a new design. Maybe we will see an even smaller device. Apple currently offers a Mac mini with an Intel processor and a Mac mini with an M1 processor. We may not see Intel processors this year as the company continues to expand its Apple Silicon chips throughout its product ecosystem.
In short, we are talking about an updated Mac mini with a new design and more ports than the current model.
5. The long-awaited AirPods 3
The big absentee from the company’s last bitten apple logo special event were the third-generation AirPods. Everyone expected Apple to introduce its classic third-generation wireless earbuds alongside the iPhone 13 line of smartphones, but it ultimately did.
However, there have been a lot of rumors circulating around the net about the AirPods 3 throughout the last few months, so there is a good chance that Apple will finally present them in this special event in October. Who knows! Anyway, it is not at all strange that they have not been presented yet, and that is that Apple has not presented AirPods at an event since the launch of the original AirPods in 2016.
The third generation AirPods they will change their classic design to look a bit more like the AirPods Pro but will not have silicone ear pads. On the other hand, they are expected to have support for the technology Dolby Atmos, compatibility with Spatial Audio and greater sound isolation. However, there is bad news. And it is that the AirPods 3 will not have active noise cancellation (ANC) or the popular transparency mode.
So far all the products that we can expect from the Apple special event that will be held on October 14, 2021. For now we cannot confirm 100% that all these products will be presented on Monday, but there is a good chance that it will be so. There could even be more surprises! Be that as it may, from iPadízate we will carry out extensive coverage of the event so that you do not miss a single detail.
