This has been an active year for the Marvel Cinematic Universeas it has evolved in significant ways, both on the big screen and in the Disney+ original series, clearly including Moon Knight and most recently Ms. Marvel, a live-action series featuring Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel played by Iman Vellani and her start in the world as a heroine.
So since Kamala is a superfan of other superheroes, the show has had the opportunity to weave some interesting easter eggs into its episodes, ones that showcase MCU ties, including one that’s actually for the upcoming series of Disney+ and that will arrive soon, it is She-Hulk, who during episode 4 of Ms Marvelbriefly show us the members of Clan Destine after they were detained by the Department of Damage Control.
Now that their fight has become very public, at Kamala’s brother’s wedding, before the Fate Clan escaping from containment and locating Kamala in Pakistan again, it is established that they are being held in the DODC SuperMax prison, a building that has already appeared inside She-Hulk, where they seemingly reveal an imprisoned Emil Blonsky/Abomination of Tim Roth.
So SuperMax Prison’s distinctive exterior design actually has ties to the SuperMax Prison comics. she hulkas it was first introduced during Dan Slott and Paul Pelletier’s 2004 She-Hulk run, and in said comics the building is actually referred to as the Pym Experimental Penitentiary or “The big house”already uses Pym particle technology to shrink criminals to incredibly small size during their sentences.
So even though the MCU version of Damage Control doesn’t use that same technology, as it would have added extra difficulty to the seemingly easy escape from Clan Destine, the links between the two shows are still interesting.
