It was only a year and a half ago that there seemed to be bad vibes between Snoop Dogg and Eminem, both protégés of Dr. Dre. Now, the legendary rappers have a new music video in which they appear as Bored Apes.
Eminem tweeted on June 24 that he would release a new song called “From The D 2 The LBC”. The post included the art for the song, which was a comic book style featuring two cartoon monkeys representing both Snoop Dogg and Slim Shady and their connection to the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC). She then posted another tweet announcing the video.
The two hip-hop legends have reunited to release a new music video for their fans. This time, they have introduced the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC)a collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) built on the Ethereum blockchain.
Entitled “From The D 2 The LBC”, the new music video features Eminem and Snoop Dogg as animated ape characters. It has been produced by 1st AMENDMENT and Young California, in collaboration with BAYC.
In the song, they both shout out their respective hometowns, Detroit and Long Beach.in his chorus:
“Raise your joints if you reside on 213, let’s see how the joints rise / Whether you’re on the east or west side of 313, let’s see how the guns burn.”
The video shows Em and Snoop performing their verses as they transform into Bored Ape-style animated avatars. The song was recently performed live at Ape Fest 2022 by the pair..
Notably Eminem and Snoop are already familiar with the world of NFTs, having ventured into it before.. As Cointelegraph reported, Eminem, also known as Marshall Mathers III, purchased an NFT on the OpenSea NFT market for $462,000 and became a member of the Bored Ape Yacht Club.
In April, it was announced that Snoop Dogg was one of the main investors in MoonPay, an entry-exit service.along with “industry personalities” like Justin Bieber, Bruce Willis and Ashton Kutcher. MoonPay has also partnered with Dogg’s Death Row Records to create an NFT marketplace..
