Elon Musk to join Twitter’s board of directors after buying 9.2% of shares

Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal confirmed, in a tweet, Elon Musk’s new role within the board of directors, calling him a “passionate believer and intense critic of the service” and indicated that he would bring great value with his addition.

On Monday, Elon Musk bought a 9.2% stake in Twitter shares, a platform that he has used to launch messages that are not without controversy and which, in turn, he has criticized for alleged lack of freedom of expression.

The same day that Musk bought this Twitter stake, he polled his followers asking them about creating the “edit” button. Agrawal replied that “the consequences of this survey will be important.”
