Another day, another controversy involving Elon Musk. The guy a few days ago was the victim of the historic massive Twitter hack. But that has not stopped him from being active to do what he knows best: create controversy that makes it viral.
The executive behind SpaceX and Tesla Motors stormed the internet after releasing an explosive statement against those who have reservations about artificial intelligence platforms:
I’ve been talking about this for a decade. We should be concerned with where artificial intelligence is headed.
The most mistaken are those who are very smart, because they do not imagine that a computer can be smarter than them.
That is the error in your logic. They are simply dumber than they think.
The specific comment, reported by Business Insider, is directly aimed at those who do not believe that a computer with an Artificial Intelligence system can exceed their cognitive abilities.
This is not the first time that Elon Musk has spoken on the subject and marked his concern. In 2018 he had already pointed out that for him the danger of AI systems was much greater than that of nuclear weapons.
So apparently he is on the same line of thought as dear Stephen Hawking.
