When buying a sound system, one of the options that users have is to acquire a compact type equipment in the purest mini-system style that comes with everything necessary for direct file playback, to access external sound sources and for the playback via streaming.
This is just what the new Elipson Music Center Connect HD, a set of rounded shapes with dimensions of 330 x 73 mm that is reminiscent to a great extent of the popular robot vacuum cleaners, but which inside incorporates everything necessary to assemble a musical group of height.
For this, its designers have chosen to go back to betting on the increasingly disused Audio-CD disc player, which is accompanied by the classic FM / DAB radio receiver and multiple RCA analog audio inputs for connecting players and external audio sources such as a turntable.
Also included are a digital optical input, a mini-jack port, pre-amplified output to connect to an external amplifier and subwoofer output with filtering of the sound signal between 50 and 200 Hz.
With 120 watt amplifier and Bluetooth aptX
The equipment also incorporates an integrated Class D amplification stage with the capacity to supply up to 2×120 watts of RMS power using ICE Power technology, so that we can directly connect our passive 4 and 8 ohm speakers to it.
Internally it mounts a DSP that works at 32bit / 192kHz and that is responsible for managing and processing the sound output from digital audio sources. In this sense, we have direct reproduction of files stored on optical discs recorded by us as well as in memories connected to its USB port, supporting the formats MP3 and WMA.
But connectivity is also offered via Bluetooth aptX, over WiFi and Ethernet to access streaming services such as Qobuz, Spotify, Tidal, Deezer and Internet radios. We can control all this from a mobile application as well as directly from the front panel or using the remote control included in the package.
