This week The NPD Group shared the data video game sales in north america for the month of February, and we found out that although Elden Ring arrived in the last days of the month, it managed to become the best-selling video game so far in 2022.
According to the report by Mat Piscatella of The NPD Group, the best selling video game of 2022 to date is Elden Ring, followed by Pokémon Legends: Arceus which was in the top spot last month. In third place we have Horizon Forbidden West, which was released a week before Elden Ring but exclusively on PS4 and PlayStation 5. Call of Duty: Vanguard and NHL 22 finish the Top 5.

If we see only the february saleswe see five new games within the Top 5, since it is made up of Elden Ring, Horizon Forbidden West, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Dying Light 2: Stay Human and Total War: Warhammer III. Other Nintendo Switch exclusives in the top 20 include Mario Kart 8 in 8th place, Mario Party Superstars, Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in 12th-15th place, Pokémon BD/SP in 18th place, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at #20. PlayStation has an additional exclusive with Marvel’s Spider-Man: Mies Morales at #11, but there are no Xbox exclusives in the February Top 20.
At top 10 best selling video games on platforms of switch During February we found nine exclusives and Just Dance 2022, although digital sales are not taken into account in titles made by Nintendo. Among the 10 best sellers of playstation consoles we have Horizon II: Forbidden West in first place, followed by Elden Ring and Dying Light 2: Stay Human, for which Sony gamers are enjoying the new releases of the month. At xbox top 10 We also have Elden Ring in first place and Dying Light 2: Stay Human in third, but second place goes to Call of Duty: Vanguard.
