We know this thanks to the patch notes 1.03.2 released on the official page of Bandai Namco. There, fromsoftware reported on what this new patch will be, which, in addition to solving minor problems, helps players not lose their game forever.
What happened is that there was an error in the multiplayer modewhere some users they could teleport to other incorrect coordinates on the map. This error is the result of a exploit on pc that made the characters of some users, they will end up under the world of Elden Ring. this bug could not be corrected in any waysince when the player entered again, he would find that scene again.
