On Sunday, June 4, the Edomex 2023 elections live in the State of Mexico, who will elect a female governor for the first time in its history. The two possible options are Alejandra del Moral, who is a candidate of the state ruling party for the coalition “Va por el Estado de México”, before Delfina Gómez, the standard bearer of the common candidacy “Together we will make history in the State of Mexico”. With a register of 12.6 million voters, the State of Mexico concentrates more than eight million people living in poverty. In addition, there are the municipalities bordering Mexico City such as Ecatepec, Nezahualcóyotl, Naucalpan or Valle de Chalco.
Where to vote in the Edomex 2023 Elections?
The National Electoral Institute (INE) enabled the option “Locate your polling place” on its website with the purpose of providing exact information to voters on the day of the State Elections in the State of Mexico. So that you know where to vote, just follow the following steps:
- Enter the INE “Locate your box” tool or simply click on https://ubicatucasilla.ine.mx/
- Then select an entity, in this case Mexico
- Subsequently, enter the section number found on your INE voter card.
- Finally, click search. Immediately, the system will give you the exact address of your box, you will even be able to see where it is located.
ANOTHER WAY TO KNOW WHERE I SHOULD VOTE
Another way for you to know where you have to vote is by via telephone. All you have to do is have your INE voter card on hand and dial 800-433-2000 to INETEL. When they answer you, ask which is the box that corresponds to you.

The State Elections of the State of Mexico will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at the following times:

What do the polls say prior to the Edomex 2023 elections?
Since the beginning of the campaign, the candidate Delfina Gómez has maintained a clear advantage over Alejandra del Moral in the bulk of polls for the governorship of the State of Mexico. Regarding the percentage differential, the gap between the two has reached a maximum of up to 20 percentage points in mid-February and has narrowed in recent weeks, but it has never closed below double digits. In other words, the Morena candidate maintains 53% of the effective vote, compared to 42% of the PRI standard-bearer in the week prior to election day.
When is dry law?
As is the case in different parts of the world prior to general elections, the Mexican state government will prohibit the sale of alcohol on Saturday June 3 and Sunday June 4 in the 125 municipalities that make up the entity. However, restaurants that offer alcoholic beverages with food and some tourist areas defined by the state Ministry of Tourism will be exempt from the measure.
When will the quick count and results of Edomex 2023 be?
The first quick count results will be during the night of Sunday, June 4 (7:00 p.m.). This is a statistical exercise that allows estimating voting trends through a probabilistic sample representative of the election. The INE will be in charge of informing the IEEM of the results of the quick count, and then launching the Preliminary Electoral Results Program (PREP) that same night on election day.
