CD Projekt RED has long assured that it would expand the Cyberpunk 2077 universe to other media, such as film, television and even literature. And after the release of the title almost two years ago, the studio’s plans regarding the expansion of the game’s universe have not changed, and therefore today they have revealed that Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will debut on Netflix on September 13.
Own official YouTube channel of the title has released a trailer for the anime, confirming that all 10 episodes of the series will be released on the same September 13. The Japanese animation studio in charge of the anime is Studio Trigger, and the story will be focused on David Martinez, a boy who lives on the street and who, after a personal tragedy, will become an “edgerunner” while surviving in the harsh world of Cyberpunk.

As we can see in the trailer, it is very faithful to the work of CD Projekt RED, showing a lot of violence, nudity, blood and neon at the tip of a shovel, something that is very characteristic of the game. ANDLet’s hope that the anime is very well received, and we can enjoy more adaptations (both in anime and live-action format) of this great universe.
