The Communication and Content Manager of EBRO expressed the feeling of the organization prior to becoming champion of the Master Flow League in an epic five-game final. Read the details here!
Fifth game of the grand final of the Master Flow League, EBRO Gaming brought to Leviathan Esports, the clear favourite, to a fifth map. Among the public of the viewing party at Cinemark, two people stood up in silence and came out speaking softly. Within minutes, a play by Nobody makes a game that favored the favorites turn 180 degrees and explode the bias of the Lions that later would shout champion.
One of the figures that stood up silently was the communication manager of EBRO, Jose “Crofo” Almada. Before everyone saw his team’s incredible comeback, Crofo I already knew they were champions. Since from the gaming house everything was already defined and he was one of the first to receive such privileged information.
With emotions on the surface and voice cracked by the celebrations once the result was made public, Crofo revealed how the organization lived from within the final epic.
– How did the culture of the organization affect the state of mind of the players to prevail in a final that according to you commented “they had been pulling them down”?
– “This result is due to all the day-to-day work that is done from within the team. Whether they are from the staff or within the game, we are from communication in the values that we want to give to the boys in their professional growth and as people within electronic sports. The truth is that today they gave a beautiful battle and gave the faithful reflection in five maps of what the Apertura was”.
– With what expectations was this League of Legends project born and how did it change from date to date as the results were given?
– “The expectation was to reach the playoffs. I knew that the boys were working well, but I never imagined that it would end like this because nobody could imagine it. It is a ten of the players, a trophy that they deserve because, being a team that not many would put the resources into them, we did it and we won teams that cost 50 thousand dollars a split”.
– When did you perceive that the click was given for this team to be champion?
– “We had the click when we beat Boca Juniors in the second leg and we got the undefeated. There we saw that the kids were playing very seriously and we focused on them reaching this stage and achieving the championship”.
– What are the expectations as they point to the rest of the year after surprisingly winning the Apertura?
– “With this result we add many points to be able to reach the promotion of LLA. Now we have our sights set on the ascent. We want the boys to be able to rest, to take a vacation and arrive fresh for the Clausura. And finally, once together they can give a better performance than today, which was beautiful”.
– If this were a story, what would it be?
– David and Goliath, for two.
