Luis de la Fuente has released this Thursday the list of 23 summoned for the parties that the Spanish U21 team will play against Russia and Lithuania on September 3 and 7, both qualifiers for the U21 European Championship which is disputed in 2023.
Arnau Tenas, will be the Barça representative of a ‘red’ who faces a new stage after staying in the semifinals in the last European and on the verge of gold in the Tokyo Games. Another Barça player who could have had options is Ilaix Moriba. The team coach has given his opinion on the ‘Ilaix case’ and his resignation from the Spanish team: “We made the decision of Ilaix naturally. Each one makes the decisions that he thinks are appropriate and we have to accept them”.

It should be remembered that the Hispano-Guinean came to enter De la Fuente’s pre-list for the Games. The player, born in Conakry, had played in almost all the lower categories of the Red, but finally he has ended up opting to end up playing with the national team Republic of Guinea.
The ‘red’ will face Russia on September 3 and Lithuania on September 7
With many new features, since some of the players who were part of the national team to date have already completed their cycle, Spain presents a list full of LaLiga players.
Arnau Tenas is the only Barça player who will be with the U21, since both Riqui Puig and Mingueza are no longer eligible. Another of the names that were contemplated was that of Nico González, who will have to wait for his opportunity in future calls.
