As you know, next year the exclusivity contract between EA and Lucasfilms will end. This means that more companies will have the opportunity to make Star Wars games. Currently we already have a glimpse of this future, with projects by Ubisoft and Quantic Dream. However, this does not mean that EA will leave this galaxy, quite the contrary. Thus, Three new Star Wars projects have been announced by Respawn.
Through a statement, EA has confirmed that three Star Wars projects in charge of Respawn Entertainment, responsible for titan fall Y apex legendsThey are already in development. The first of these is the sequel to the acclaimed Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Although at the moment there is not much information about this title, reports have indicated that a full reveal would take place in the summer of this year, followed by a launch at some point in 2023.
Alongside this, Peter Hirschmann, game director at Respawn, will be in charge of the first Star Wars FPS developed by this studio. Finally, a strategy game based on this galaxy far, far away is already in development. This project will be developed by Bit Reactor, led by industry veteran Greg Foerstch, while Respawn will be the producers.
This was what he commented Douglas Reilly, Vice President of Lucasfilm Games, about:
“We are excited to continue working with the extremely talented developers at Respawn. They have demonstrated excellence in telling epic Star Wars stories coupled with best-in-class gameplay across genres and we look forward to bringing more incredible experiences to the galaxy far, far away.”

“We are huge Star Wars fans here at Respawn and are thrilled to be working with Lucasfilm Games on new titles that we have wanted to make for years. If you want to make great Star Wars games, you should join us on our journey.”
Without a doubt, great news for Star Wars fans. Although titles like Battlefront I Y II They were controversial Jedi: Fallen Order It was a complete success, and the study has shown great potential in the past. Let’s just hope we don’t have to wait long for more information on these projects.
On related topics, there is already a release date for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Similarly, here you can learn more about the alleged revelation of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
Editor’s note:
While Respawn has shown some serious talent, it’s a bit worrying that these three new EA titles are only run by this studio. It should not be forgotten that this studio continues to work on apex legends, as well as in other projects that are not public knowledge. Let’s hope this doesn’t lead to investigations into Respawn’s crunch culture.
