In the video game industry many know that E3 is the big annual eventsince it is at this fair held in Los Angeles where the vast majority of businesses and companies meet to show their next titles, thus giving rise to many eagerly awaiting mid-June to celebrate the festival of the video game.
However, at the same time it must be said that the years do not pass in vain, being so it is being seen how the event is in the doldrums. This is no longer just the result of the passage of time, since, to give two examples, Nintendo decided not to hold physical events for years and Sony directly decided not to attend the Los Angeles fair.
Conversely, the pandemic has been primed with video game eventsthus giving rise to the fact that in 2020 it was not held, while last year, when the effects of the pandemic were still very present, it was decided to do it online, this being a format that served the purpose, but which was also highly criticized. , especially since many companies were accused of going by compromise.
It seems that there will finally be E3 in 2022
Having said all this, it must be said that the year 2022 started strong with the 2022 physical event cancellationleaving in doubt if the E3 would be held once again in digital format, since nothing was mentioned at the time.
However, it seems that signs are starting to showsince Tom Henderson would have reported that companies are receiving emails around the celebration of E3 2022 by the ESRB, the age rating agency for video games in the United States, where it is confirmed that the event will be entirely digital:
E3 will be an entirely digital event again this year according to the ESRB who sent out emails to developers today.

It should be noted that at the moment no official announcement has been made, so, as usual in these cases, this information must be taken with a grain of salt. However, if this situation were real, it would be equivalent to will be announced soonsince the companies will have to confirm whether or not they are going to the event, the most relevant being: Xbox, Nintendo, Bethesda, Ubisoft, Square Enix, among others.
For all these reasons, we can only wait to see if we can finally enjoy this event, in which companies are expected to show their proposals by the end of the year. Of course, if you are fans of PlayStation, you better not expect anything, since it is likely that Sony will not go to E3 for another year.
