Dragon Ball Superas a continuation of the legendary saga of Dragon Ball Z, has already become a cult work by now.
It is a fact that the story has not been perfect, nor round, and that both the manga and the anime have their visible ups and downs where some moments have shone more than others.
However, it is a fact that it is admirable how Akira Toriyama and his team have managed to breathe new life into these characters to continue expanding their story to unimaginable levels.
Unfortunately, just like in the Z era, the rate at which manga is published is not the same rate at which arcs are adapted as anime.
And because of this, a kind of limbo has been reached, where both the animated series and the printed publication do not have new episodes.
This situation has had the fans a little uneasy, but it seems that we finally have some certainties.
Toyotaro talks about the future of the Dragon Ball Super manga
According to a report by colleagues at comicbook.comthe mangaka Toyotaro, who is known globally as the right hand of Akira Toriyama and a vital piece of this new era of the franchise, has spoken about the current situation of the manga.
As many know, publishing stopped and went on hiatus after closing the Granola arc in episode 87 in August 2022.
But this October 20, 2022, with the scheduled publication of the most recent volume of V-Jump magazine, there was a doubt about whether we would have some new pages of the manga or not.
So Toyotaro has used his personal Twitter account to clarify the situation and explain why there is nothing from Dragon Ball Super in the volume:
Vジャンプ明日発売です!
DB 超 は 中 です が 漫画 に 出 き た 人物 を し て くれ て ます。 ちゃ 細かい です! 銀パト の 名前 は インタビュー の 時 に に 考え た の が 反映 さ れ て ます ☆!

“V-Jump is on sale tomorrow! DB Super is on hiatus, but features characters that appeared in the manga. It’s so detailed! Ginpato’s name reflects what I thought during the interview. Awesome! Please, watch it. Just for the moment, I share an image.”
Broadly speaking, in the greatest existing opportunity to publish a new chapter of the Dragon Ball Super manga, that did not happen.
So now the site itself Comic Book speculates that it would not be until the Jump Festa of December 2022 when we would see the resumption of the manga.
