When Toei announced that it would continue with the film saga of Goku and company in a tape that seemed inspired by the mcu a lot of fans were baffled. Nevertheless Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero It didn’t turn out to be a disaster.
On the contrary, we have seen how the tape was accepted by fans immediately and by now it has even inspired some cosplay sessions that at least seem to validate the love and support for this highly Western-influenced approach.
Gohan’s stories following in the footsteps of Marvel characters are not alien to this saga. We saw him at the beginning of the Majin Boo arc with Dragon Ball Z and his character from Great Saiyanman.
Here in the movie, in a way, we saw an interesting evolution of that almost forgotten moment of the old manga, to give it a different twist with a plot that doesn’t exactly emulate Marvel’s.
The tape perhaps did not turn out to be something as spectacular as Dragon Ball Super: Brolybut apparently it has made enough noise among fans to now be released again in a different format: print.

Few fans probably expected it, but a manga adaptation of the film’s story is actually in the works and has already been released in theaters.
This practice is relatively common in the Japanese entertainment industry. Although the usual cycle, most of the time, is that the manga is born first, then the anime, and at the end the cycle is closed with the animated film.
But in this case things are out of all usual parameters. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is getting a new version of the movie with a new manga adaptation that will still be released outside of Japan in the near future and this is its first image:
From what is known, this manga will essentially take the plot of the tape that we all have already seen, adding some twists and extra scenes to give the story more depth, exploiting the possibilities of this printed medium to the fullest.
This first look at its cover was broadcast by the Twitter account of @DbsHypean obligatory reference among Dragon Ball fans that specializes in this type of leaks and advances.
Since the film is relatively canon it will be interesting to see how it all connects to the new core arc of the official manga that has an upcoming release as well.
