The fight between Goku and Gas in chapter 81 from Dragon Ball Super had some nods to the live-action Spider-Man movies of the early 21st century that its fans appreciated.. The current battle of the Saiyan hero takes place in the last arc of Granola the survivor and, after the defeat of Granola and Vegeta, it seems that Akira Toriyama and Toyoutaro have decided to take a couple of licenses to amuse their fans.
In the last chapter of the Dragon Ball Super manga, Gas really proved to be unbeatable in his new form of transformation in the Super Saiyan style, creating weapons with which he attacked the cerealian and later Goku, who had received the last energies of Vegeta to continue fighting. . After Granola was completely disabled by Gas stopping playing with the last surviving Cerealian, breaking his arms, blinding him with lasers in both eyes and letting the leader of Heata’s henchmen, Elec, finish the job by shooting Granola in the back.point blank!
Goku and Vegeta can do nothing but watch helplessly as they are still frozen by Gas’s strange new powers. However, Vegeta sacrifices himself for Goku and gives his friend the last of his energy. Restored, Goku powers up to Super Saiyan Blue and goes for another round against the strongest being in the universe!!.
But, not facing him like he had before, Gas uses his telekinetic abilities to literally throw the structures of an entire small city at Goku, who thanks to his combat experience, appears to recreate the iconic scene from the early 21st century live-action Spider-Man with walking between walls and the way he jumps between the huge incoming projectiles that Gas throws at him.

Dragon Ball Super gets even more specific in its apparent reference to Marvel when Goku and Gas’s fight takes on what appears to be an homage to the Spider-Man 2 movie. from director Sam Raimi when the fight escalates and they start attacking each other with gigantic trains. As Goku jumps over the oncoming structures, he is unexpectedly surprised by Gas running an entire train through the air, which collides with Goku and smashes him through the windshield. This scene from Dragon Ball resembles Spider-Man and Doc Octopus’s train fight sequence in Spider-Man 2.
