Recently, a viral story has attracted attention on social networks, since the well-known presenter Don Francisco appears as an Uber driver, and generated a great debate among Internet users.
The popularity of Uber in many countries of the world is indisputable, which is why, according to the company’s own data, it generated around 17.5 billion US dollars in net revenue in 2021. The report explains that the mobile transportation network company it has around 93 million monthly users worldwide and is available in 69 countries and more than 900 cities.
In this sense, the costs of Uber can vary depending on the place in the world where they use it. A study conducted by NetCredit revealed that New York is the most expensive city to travel to in the United States.
For its part, the report also revealed that the countries in the world where Uber trips are the most expensive are Switzerland, followed by Oslo, Norway, Tokyo, Japan, Paris, France and Dublin, Ireland.
Don Francisco as an Uber driver?
The iconic Chilean presenter, Don Francisco, became a trend on social networks, but not because of his participation as an entertainer or because of the “Sábado Gigante” program, but because he was allegedly seen as an Uber driver.
The story was spread on Twitter, where a video of Mario Luis Kreutzberger Blumenfeld, better known as “Don Francisco” at 82 years of age, allegedly appears, working for Uber, which triggered messages about his financial status.
According to the viral recording made by Alberto Sardiñas, the Uber driver he requested was the well-known Chilean.

“I asked for an Uber and your face is familiar to me, Mr. Driver,” the video began and once it focused on Don Francisco, the presenter, who was driving a car through the streets of Miami, continued the game.
“I’m doing Uber from today, I started today and this is my third trip,” says the driver in the recording.
Also, in the recording he asked “Don Francisco” how he felt in his new job and he replied that it was very good.
“It took us 17 minutes to arrive, normally this trip lasted 45 minutes, of course I came 90 miles, but it doesn’t matter, I pay the ticket,” said Don Francisco.
For everyone’s peace of mind, the video was a joke by the also well-known announcer Alberto Sardiñas, since the man who was transporting him was not the well-known entertainer, but someone who physically resembles him.
Undoubtedly, the recording left several comments, where Internet users questioned that he really was the animator, but others also congratulated him on his work.
It is not the first time that an Uber driver or another transport application is vitalized by how peculiar it is. As an example, from drivers who sell trinkets while working in Uber, or even for the strange and creative decorations on their cars.
