I do not remember if I spoke in these lines about the arrival of Tesla in Mexico, but I do remember that I have spoken several times about Twitter and micro-blogging applications. Last week I wrote about the new social network “Blue Sky”, created by the former CEO of Jack Dursey. And just a few days ago I heard the new news: Mark Zuckerberg is going to launch his own competitive microblogging platform called “P92”.
Currently not much is known about the project, there is simply news regarding the development. There is not much clear information yet. But this action by Mark Zuckerberg to compete with Twitter left me wondering why is looking for an alternative to Twitter? What is underneath what Mark or Jack is looking to implement? Or is it simply the Elon Musk effect that comes with competition on major social networks?
I think there’s something weird. Something smells bad. And if the river sounds, it’s because water carries, they say out there. It is not common for them to want to compete with a social network that has not grown in number of users for many years. But his influence, in some way or another, has always been on the horizon. The natural thing, I think, would be to create a short video platform to compete with TikTok or at least go that way, where the future of network communication lies. But far from that, they return to a format like “text”. I still believe there is a hidden cat. And I think I guess where it’s going.
In these lines I have also talked about GPT Chat and the way in which it has revolutionized the internet. Because if you haven’t used it yet, it can help you with tasks from very simple to very complicated. Mainly I have used it to bounce some ideas and obtain certain data that is easier to have than with a google search. I mean, it’s a marvel where you see it. And I think there are several applications developed with Artificial Intelligence and language models that will do the same as GPT Chat.
Now, rumor has it in the marketing underworld that there was a very powerful reason for Elon Musk to buy Twitter: because it’s a tool that will help you create your own artificial intelligence chat room. And the truth doesn’t sound crazy once you think about it: what better example of how human beings write than in a social network that is nourished by millions of tweets a day, in different ways, in different languages and that moves with the language itself. Twitter is probably the largest written language display in the global world today. And that becomes a panacea for language models created from artificial intelligence.
A few years ago, I watched some episodes of Black Mirror and there is one very similar to what I’m talking about. The episode is about a person who seeks to “resurrect” her boyfriend through an artificial intelligence chat. So, she could chat with her deceased boyfriend of hers. What is really interesting about the chapter here is that the woman “spoke” with a real copy of the thoughts, ways of thinking and even speaking of her partner. All this was achieved by compiling texts and ideas that artificial intelligence collected through its social networks, emails, digital behaviors, etc, etc. Basically —within the fiction— the chat reproduced the mind of the dead character with the fingerprint that she left.
In this context between fiction and reality —which is becoming more and more alike—, you might think that both Mark, Jack, and Elon, want to invest in their own Chat systems based on artificial intelligence language models. In other words, they want to make their own version of GPT Chat, but with closer models of everyday language with millions of data at their disposal. Or at least it smells to me that all that is taking a course towards there.
I don’t remember if I talked about Tesla’s arrival in Mexico in these lines, but I do remember how Elon’s influence has been very large and has an immediate impact on social networks, mainly because of everything I have already talked about and recounted here.
I haven’t talked about Tesla in Mexico, but I have talked about the interlines that happen in the Machiavellian digital world.
