Xiaomi, the Chinese technology company, again updated its list of devices that will no longer receive official support from the brand. Among which stand out the Mi Note 10 Lite.

This last device was launched in April 2020, so this model, along with others announced, cannot be updated with the new version of the operating system, MIUI 15, whose launch is expected in the coming months.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 was launched with Android 9 and MIUI 11, but it has been receiving updates until it reached MIUI 13 with Android 11. Therefore, it can say goodbye to MIUI 14.

On the other hand, the Redmi Note 9 does not appear on the list, but we do find it in the AER-certified devices tab (for companies). Here we see the end of support for this month, although this model is upgradable to MIUI 14 (with Android 12).

Security updates, the firm points out, usually include the latest protection patches and vulnerability fixes, among other improvements. Usually, these are provided for at least two years after the release of a certain model.

What other models will not be listed for the new updates?

Xiaomi has included a series of devices launched between 2019 and 2020, such as the Redmi 8 series, one of the firm’s best-selling models, and the Redmi K30.

Now, owners of the listed devices who want to experience the latest versions of MIUI and security features will need to purchase a newer model or turn to unofficial sources to update their devices.

Also, since Xiaomi has a large number of devices, it is not surprising that every month the EOS list is updated with new terminals.
