The detachable cutlery you see in the images were designed to combat single-use plastic contamination and are so compact that you can carry them in your pants pocket.
This product was created by the Outlery company, based in Ireland, and comes in two presentations: three pieces (consisting of fork, knife and spoon) or as a set of chopsticks.
Each utensil is made of stainless steel and is disassembled to fit in a small box the size of a pack of mints, which makes them very easy to transport compared to traditional cutlery. To use them, just reassemble them in a matter of seconds.
The box in which they are transported is made of recycled tin and is barely 8.2 centimeters long. The cutlery comes in five different colors and the chopsticks in six shades. The company is currently receiving orders and expects to make the first deliveries at the end of the year.
This type of removable cutlery can contribute a lot to the fight against the pollution of plastics in the oceans. So if you get to see utensils of this type, think that you will invest in something good.
NVIRONMENTAL ENEMY
Plastic pollution has become one of the most important environmental problems. The single-use (disposable cutlery, plastic bags, food containers or straws …) has been used so rampantly that the planet is suffering the consequences; 79% ends up in landfills or polluting the environment.
More and more governments and organizations are joining the fight against their employment and looking for environmentally friendly alternatives.
