The Discord communication platform is working to introduce the screen sharing function in its application for devices with Android operating system.
This new function is available in the beta channel for version 48.2 or higher of the Android application, according to the XDA Developers portal. Once activated, it allows users to switch to a different application to show what they do on their screen to other users of the platform.
The feature comes with changes to the user interface, which will show a new button on the application toolbar, with which users can start sharing their screen. By clicking on it, a warning will alert users that screen sharing could accidentally expose confidential information.
Once users share screen, the feature allows you to mute or unmute the microphone, end the call, and switch between voice and video calls, and it also features a button to stop screen sharing. So far Discord has not reported on the launch of this new feature, available for now in the beta.
