Surely many of you have (or have had -or wanted to have-) in your bag the already mythical Dior Forever foundation in any of its finishes: Matthew Glow. Well, the point is that this 2022 come with news as they have been reformulated to incorporate even more treatment benefits, with 86% ingredients of floral origin in addition to having the ability to improve the quality of the skin day after day.
But not only that, because they also have a new, more eco-responsible packaging since its cap is made of recycled plastic, which saves 2.5 tons of virgin plastic per year.
The fact is that 15 years after its launch, the time has come to reinvent it by giving it a new formula, emphasizing skin care, but without compromising the original benefits, since it is a new generation that delivers even more results, as pointed peter phillips, Director of the creation and image of Dior make-up.
Thus, it was the year 2007 when the Maison presented Dior Forever, the first high-coverage foundation with a light texture that was able to reconcile long-wear and treatment, offering not only great comfort to the skin, but also treatment. It is therefore not surprising that it became one of the best selling makeup bases.
However, with the arrival of 2022, the Forever saga takes a new turn. thanks to a new generation with longer duration, more treatment and a formula that they call more Clean thanks to its strict selection of ingredients.
It is a makeup base that not only resistant to heat, humidity, stress, signs of fatigue… staying intact for longer without losing its lightness, but rather leaving the skin looking pretty and not stuffy.
It has 43 meticulously calibrated tones, among which each woman can find the one that best corresponds to her own thesis, whatever the nuances and halftones it may have
If I’m honest, I’ve never used Dior’s Forever makeup base before and although I’ve always wanted to do it and now I can’t put it aside. In fact right now I confess that it is the only one I use day after day.
When they came into my hands matte version and glow version I was very clear that the second was the one that would be better for my type of dry skin and so it has been. Not only is it a pretty good coverage foundation, but it leaves the skin really pretty, with a healthy glow, juicy finish, lasts really well (even with the mask I wear all day), with great perfecting power on a single gesture but without a mask effect, which It doesn’t dry out, it doesn’t mark textures and, in short, it’s beautiful. Come on, it drives me crazy, a great discovery.
Dior DIOR FOREVER SKIN GLOW
On the other hand, it is true that matte foundation (42.60 euros) I don’t like it so much because my skin does not get along with this type of finish. I need to put too much emphasis on preparing the skin and, honestly, at 7 in the morning, before I go to work, it’s hard. So why use a product that requires so much effort when the other one is not even painted. Of course, a friend who has the most normal skin has used it and it looks beautiful too, things as they are, so to each his own.
What is clear is that this makeup base, far from being in the past, has returned to our lives stronger than ever and, as far as I am concerned, from now on it will be renewed as many times as necessary.
