The Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro they are just around the corner. Google will officially announce them next October, despite the fact that it has already advanced some key details, such as the processor model that they will include or what their physical appearance will be like. These, however, are some of the many features that will come with these models.
The company, specifically, will announce two versions of the Pixel 7. On the one hand, the flagship; the Google Pixel 7 Pro, which will arrive with more powerful features to compete against the rest of its premium smartphones, such as the iPhone 14 Pro or the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. On the other, the Google Pixel 7, an equally powerful version, but that will include slightly lower features than its older brother. The objective, in this case, is to compete against the high-end, such as the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus, and offer a slightly lower price for those users who do not want to spend more than 1,000 euros.
Interestingly, the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will share many features. But what will their screens be like? What are the processor specifications? What resolution will your cameras have? We review all these points and more, in detail.
Design and display
One of the details that we know the most about the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro is their appearance, as it was the first thing the company showed when it confirmed both models during Google I/O 2022. The two terminals, specifically, will maintain a line similar to that of their predecessorsin which the photographic module on the back and that combination of colors so characteristic of the brand stand out.
The front has also been recently confirmed by Google and, again, will include small changes compared to the previous generation. Screen curvature seems to be less pronounced, although the panel will not be completely flat. It will also include a selfie camera at the top of the screen.
And speaking of screens; Ross YoungCEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, assured in a tweet that the base model will reduce its dimensions slightly compared to the Pixel 6 The Google Pixel 7, specifically, It will become 6.3 inches, while the screen of the Google Pixel 7 Pro will remain at 6.7 inches. On the other hand, the Google Pixel 7 is expected to maintain Full HD + resolution and 90 Hz on the screen. The Pixel 7 Pro, on the other hand, will include a QHD+ panel and a 120Hz screen refresh rate.
This will be the new processor of the Google Pixel 7 Pro
The Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will hardly have any differences in the performance section, since both will share the same processor. Its about Sensor G2, the second generation of the own SoC designed by Google and manufactured, presumably, by Samsung. This, yes, will not be very different from last year, according to the first leaked benchmarks.
The CPU of the chip, in fact, will be very similar to that of the first generation Tensor. Although the processor will be manufactured in 4 nanometers instead of five, the eight cores, distributed with a configuration of two Cortex-X1, another two Cortex-A76 and the remaining four; Cortex-A55, will make the improvement in this section only 10%. The performance of the GPU, yes, will improve by up to 20%, as Google will bet on a Mali-G7010 instead of a Mali-G78.
Regarding the configuration of RAM and storage, the Google Pixel 7 is expected to maintain a base configuration with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. The Pro model, on the other hand, could arrive with 12 GB of RAM and a base storage, also 128 GB.
Autonomy and charging
For now, The battery capacities of the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are unknown. However, they probably won’t differ much from last year’s models. In that case, the base version could arrive with an autonomy of 4,600 mAh, while the Pixel 7 Pro would bet on 5,000 mAh.
Both terminals will include fast charging, as well as compatibility with wireless charging. They will not include, yes, any type of charger in the box.
What about your cameras?
The camera of the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro promises to be just as good – or even better – than that of its predecessors, although both models will maintain the same configuration.
The Google Pixel 7, in particular, will have a double camera. The main sensor will be 50 megapixels, and the secondary sensor; an ultra wide angle lens, it will be 12 megapixels. The Pro model will also inherit this configuration, but will bet on a new telephoto sensor signed by Samsung: the GM1.
The improvements, of course, will be in the processing, which could improve slightly thanks, in part, to the Tensor SoC G2. It is also expected that the two terminals inherit some of the most important features of the Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro cameras, such as portrait mode or the option that allows you to remove unwanted objects from photos.
The prices of the new Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro
The Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will cost the same as their predecessors. At least in the United States. The prices of both smartphones have recently been leaked, and they place the base version of the Pixel 7 by $599. The Pixel 7 Pro, on the other hand, it will cost $899.
If Google does not change prices in Europe, the Pixel 7 will cost 649 euros in Spain and other countries in the euro zone. The Pixel 7 Pro, on the other hand, could arrive for 899 euros. However, it is likely that we will see a slight rise due to the parity of the euro against the dollar, as Apple has done with its iPhone 14 and MacBook Air.
When will the new Google phones be announced?
The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will be officially presented on October 6, as confirmed by the company itself through different publications on its social profiles. Google, in particular, will hold a presentation event to show all the features that have not been officially confirmed.
