Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has a legion of followers around the world, and one of the most beloved characters was that of Rengoku, the Pillar of Flame.
However, and in a decision that sowed controversy among fans, Rengoku died in combat against Akaza, the Upper Moon Three. Along with Tanjiro and his companions, the Flame Pillar went all out in pursuit of victory.
But the creators of the franchise brought it back to life… at least with some formidable illustration. It was made by the designer Akira Matsushima, to the Illustration Record Collection 2, which will be released this Friday, June 2.
In Kimetsu no Yaiba’s official Twitter account the Pillar of Flame can be seen holding a Nichirin sword, in an attitude of defiance, ready for battle as in his prime.
