Last year we saw something strange when MLB: The Show 22 came to Xbox Game Pass, as it was the first PlayStation Studio game to hit the service. However, things are about to get weirder as Microsoft announced that Death Strandingan exclusive game for PlayStation consoles, is coming to PC GamePass.
All week Microsoft has been hinting at the arrival of Death Stranding on PC Game Pass and today it was announced that the game will hit the service on August 23, 2022. Death Stranding: Director’s Cut was published by 505 Games on PC and it’s thanks to them that it’s coming to PC Game Pass.

In an official statement, the director of global community in 505 GamesAntonela Pounder confirmed that the version of Death Stranding: Director’s Cut coming to PC Game Pass is the same version available on Steam and the Epic Games Store. This version includes a higher frame rate, a fairly robust photo mode, a hard mode, and crossover content with other franchises like Cyberpunk 2077 and Half-life.
Death Stranding is a game directed by Hideo Kojima and starring Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, and Lindsay Wagner. Death Stranding is an open world game with a focus on connections, which has been called a “walking simulator” by many.
At the moment only the arrival of Death Stranding: Director’s Cut to PC Game Pass has been announced, but it is possible that the game will reach the cloud in the future and thus be available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
