During the EA Play last July there was the announcement that every horror fan was waiting for: the confirmation of the existence of the Dead Space remake with an exciting first teaser. However, and as many already imagined, the return of Isaac Clarke’s mythical space adventure will not take place anytime soon. And is that the Dead Space remake is still far from announcing its release date, as confirmed by Electronic Arts in a recent meeting with the investors of the North American company. It was there where the CEO of EA, Andrew Wilson, has been able to offer details about it, as pick up Seeking Alpha.
“Having provided a very small preview on Dead Space there is a nice preview, but there’s not much else i can share about it. Yet it’s a bit far, but the study is on it. What I can say is that it is one of the best games in our catalog, there has been extraordinary demand to bring it back for existing players and the next generation of players and we are excited to add it to our future catalog. And we’ll be able to share more as development continues. I would simply close this section by saying that it was one of the most demanded titles, perhaps only behind Skate, which we have also announced that we are bringing back, ”said Wilson.
Dead Space 2’s art director is working on the remake of the first game
So far all the news of the Dead Space remake has focused on describing who is behind the project. In this case it is EA Motive, a company with proven experience in titles such as Star Wars: Squadrons or the Star Wars: Battlefront 2 campaign. In addition, the studio has recruited veteran Ubisoft developers, including director of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, who will be in charge of this ambitious project. Now we just have to wait for Electronic Arts to have something more to say about the release date, which still seems a long way off.
