We would not have to wait long to see the new proposal for Dead Island 2.
After eight years practically in limbo, Dead Island 2 seems more real than ever after leaking through Amazon, with a summary of its history and gameplay, gameplay images and release date. At the moment its launch has not been officially confirmed, but few doubts remain that its announcement will take place during the Opening Night Live of Gamescom 2022next Tuesday, August 23.
According to the leak, this Deep Silver release is everything Dead Island 2 was promised back in the day. open world first person shooter set in a city of Los Angeles besieged by a virus that turns people into zombies. There will be different character classes with skills, customization and, of course, lots of action and gore.
One less surprise for the Gamescom Opening Night Live
Although after the leak it seemed a bit obvious to think that it is an announcement designed for the Gamescom 2022 Open Night Live, since there is no other relevant event so close, a well-known insider assures that we will see Dead Island 2 in the event of Geoff Keighley.
“The new announcement of Dead Island 2 is scheduled for Opening Night Live at Gamescom on August 23,” said Tom Henderson through his Twitter account. “Unless the leak changes things, but I doubt it.. Just show it off as Goat Simulator 3 at first and I’m happy,” he jokes with the Goat Simulator 3 reveal trailer that was shown at Summer Game Fest, where the first Dead Island 2 announcement trailer was parodied.
“Speaking of Goat Simulator 3, it’s been Gold since last week (it’s already finished),” the insider concludes.
Unless the leak changes things. But I doubt it. Just tease it as Goat Simulator 3 at the start and I’m happy.
