David Zepeda himself commented in his stories on his Instagram account that he joined the Sony Universe of Spider-Man, but this thanks to the post-credit scene of Venom: Carnage Freed.
At the beginning of the Venom: Freed Carnage post-credits scene, the face of David Zepeda appears, who responds in the plot to the name of Maximiliano, but this character appears on a television screen, with dramatic music in the background.
