In March 2022, Marvel Television series such as Daredevil, Punisher, Jessica Jones, The Defenders and more will no longer be available on the world’s largest entertainment platform
Marvel Studios surprised Daredevil and Kingpin fans in 2021 by bringing them into phase four productions of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And everything indicates that Daredevil and the Marvel Television series that introduced us to these and more characters will change platforms.

The world’s largest platform has informed its subscribers in the United States that February 28 will be the last day they will have the series Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Punisher and The Defenders in their catalog.
The Walt Disney Company advances in its strategy of withdrawing its content found on other platforms. This to incorporate them later on their digital platforms such as Disney +, and in the case of Latin America also by Star +.
In 2017, The Walt Disney Company and 21st Century Fox began an acquisition process that was consolidated in March 2019, in which not only did Marvel Studios recover the film rights to several characters, it also contemplated the launch of an entertainment platform where they will find all the contents of the company.
“(Disney+) It has to be the destination for all things Disney, and that means ultimately disassociating ourselves from having our product available anywhere else except on our linear channels.”, declared Bob Iger, then CEO of the company, in 2018.
What will be the new destination of The Defenders?
The first series to be produced between Marvel Television and the world’s largest entertainment platform is Daredevil, which premiered its first season in April 2015.
In February 2019, the third and final season of Jessica Jones premiered, with which the production of Marvel Television series for other platforms ended.
Marvel Studios absorbed the Marvel Television division, in order to integrate these series into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In the season finale of Hawkeye, Vincent D’Onofrio returned as the Kingpin, while Charlie Cox made a cameo appearance as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Both characters are the same as the series broadcast by the largest platform.
At the moment, Netflix Latin America has not yet made an official announcement about the new destination of these series. Or if this movement will only be for consumers in the United States.
