In two weeks, the solo movie of DC’s scarlet sprinter will finally hit theaters, after years of development, production, and one or two delays, without forgetting the serious messes its star, Ezra Miller, got into, which heralded the end of his career in Hollywood. The situation was so delicate that innumerable reports suggested that Flash it would probably be canceled and never see the light of day. However, Warner Bros. refrained from taking such a drastic measure. And it is that, in reality, the study never seriously considered putting Flash on a shelf and forget about it.
At least, that was what Andy and Bárbara Muschietti, director and producer of Flashin a recent interview with ew. Let us remember that in August 2022, a rumor began to circulate that Warner Bros. was considering three possible scenarios around the film, as a result of the notoriety that Ezra Miller had earned in a matter of months, due to scandals and legal conflicts. One such scenario (the most drastic) was supposedly to scrap the tape entirely, in case Miller’s image continued to deteriorate.
However, when asked if there was fear of the possibility that Flash was cancelled, Bárbara Muschietti told ew that “not at all”Well, those rumors “they were never real”.
For his part, Andy Muschietti made reference to the fact that Ezra Miller is currently working to improve his mental health and thus stay away from more riots:
«We feel a lot of empathy in general towards people who need help; especially when they are mental health problems. That is why [Ezra] is taking the necessary steps to carry out his recovery. And we support him in it.”

In the spring of 2022, Ezra Miller was arrested more than once in Hawaii after committing acts of violence and violating public order. Some time later, accusations of alleged abuse and harassment of minors came, in addition to the fact that more recently he faced charges of robbery in Vermont, which although they did not proceed, did lead to Miller admitting to having committed the crime of trespassing.
Even with the assured premiere of Flash, the risk for Ezra Miller is that, if there is a sequel, Warner Bros. chooses to replace him with another actor. As far as Andy Muschietti is concerned, however, no one else could perform this version of Barry Allen quite as outstandingly. Therefore, if a sequel is confirmed, he would insist on bringing Miller back.
“I don’t think there’s anyone who can play the character as well as Ezra,” the director recently told Playlist (via). “The other portrayals of the character are great, but in regards to this particular take on the character, it just [Miller] he excelled in doing it.”
Flash will arrive in Mexican theaters on June 15, 2023.
Antonio G. Spindola I have very bad memory. Out of solidarity with my memories, I choose to lose myself too. Preferably in a movie theater.
