A few days ago we told you that, through a promotional image, OnePlus confirmed that it would enter the arena of smart bracelets.
The image says nothing more than “The new face of fitness coming soon. Smart wherever you are ”, and in the image you can see what is clearly a smart bracelet in the shadows.
The official presentation will be this January 11, but the company has gone ahead and published a video on its Indian YouTube account in which it highlights several features of the OnePlus Band.
The first is that it measures the oxygen in the blood while sleeping (characteristic of great interest in these times of health alert). It also has 13 training modes -including yoga- and provides statistics in real-time.
It is waterproof, has access to music without the need to triangulate with the smartphone, boasts dual-color straps and one of the most striking features is that its battery performance is 14 days.
On the India site, the company has already listed the OnePlus Band at a price of 2,499 rupees, which is around 690 Mexican pesos, and announced that there will be a previous sale of the Red Cable Club model on January 12.
The official site also shows that the AMOLED screen is 1.1 inches and that the device includes the black strap, so other colors will have to be purchased separately.
It also highlights that its sleep monitoring function is designed for each user to adjust their routines and goals in order to improve the quality of their rest, which can be monitored through the OnePlus Health app.
At the time of preparing this note, there is no further data on launch and price in other regions, but as regards Mexico, let us remember that OnePlus recently arrived in the region and presented its new devices, so we can think that the smart bracelet will be present in our country.
According to data from Statista, the sale of smart bracelets around the world in 2019 was 41.8 million units, and it is expected that by 2022 the figure will increase to 51.7 million due to the importance of these gadgets during the COVID-19 pandemic.
