We are just days away from the latest live-action series from starwars, Obi-Wan Kenobi premiere in Disney+which is why Lucasfilm is ready to bring together Ewan McGregor Y Hayden Christensen after almost twenty years; two actors who had not reprized their iconic roles from starwars from Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith of 2005, that is why the excitement and desire on the part of the fans of the franchise is so great.
And boy, this excitement for the series is currently at an all time high as the series will focus on the period after Revenge of the Sithwhere Obi-Wan Kenobi from mcgregor is caring for a young man Luke Skywalker in tatooine and will even feature a meeting of Obi Wan Y Darth Vaderone of the expected moments within the franchise, and about this, deborah chowthe director behind Obi-Wan Kenobirecently compared the two’s relationship to a kind of love story:
“For me, through the prequels, through the original trilogy, there’s a love story dynamic with these two that runs through everything”revealed chow to Vanity Fair. “I felt it was quite difficult not to [incluir] to the person who left Kenobi in such anguish on the show… The special thing about that relationship is that they loved each other.”
Given the mcgregor Y Christensen they had previously worked together on the prequel trilogy of starwars, Christensen only played the side Anakin Skywalker from Darth Vader. And it is that, to tell the truth, the version Obi-Wan Kenobi from mcgregor never came face to face with Darth Vaderso now, it looks like that changed on the set of the series of Disney+and the experience left its mark on the actor.
“I never met Darth Vader”said mcgregor to Total Film, which features the star as Kenobi on his latest cover. “I had rehearsed the scene with Vader, but not with the helmet on or anything like that. When we got to do the scene, when they were yelling ‘action,’ he had to come up behind me. I turned around, fucking Darth.”. “Vader was coming at me. It was like I was six years old again. I had never acted in Vader’s helmet. I had never looked him in the eye.”
“It scared the hell out of me”added the actor Obi-Wan Kenobi. “I’m not kidding. It gave me a proper jolt of utter fear. I was like, ‘Oh my God, that’s not acting. That’s real. I’m really scared right now.’ And the same would happen with Stormtroopers. I had worked before with Clone Troopers, but a lot of it was CGI.”
“I never worked with Stormtroopers and, again, I was like seven years old again. Because when you’re actually, in front of a Stormtrooper, with a blaster, it’s like: ‘Fucking hell.’ It’s like real childhood memories of being afraid. That’s how deep it is in us. I’ve been acting for 30 years, and I’ve never really been scared when I’m acting scared… But I had moments in this that were genuinely pretty scary.”
the series of lucasfilm Y Disney+, Obi-Wan Kenobi will be released next may 27th; and will also feature the participation of Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piese, Kumail Nanjiani, Sung Kang, Moses Ingram, Indira Varama, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Rupert Friend, Simone Kessel Y Benny Saffieso don’t miss it.
