What is your dream job? It is a question that we have all asked ourselves at least once in our lives. Some manage to reach their goal with the passage of time. While others conform or adapt to other situations.
But have you ever wondered what job everyone wants? The one that most choose for comfort or income.
Without thinking too much about it, you may imagine that people would prefer issues related to the energy, banking or technology industry in the programming part.
However, the reality that the Internet shows us is different. An American firm set out to review Google search data on dream jobs.
Latin America and a good part of the world surprise with the results, since the profession that most people are looking for has still become a university degree.
Lawyers, accountants, doctors, journalists and administrators are professions that have been losing interest in the new generations. Now, although it is hard to understand, generating content through social networks individually is what is calling the youth.
Dream jobs in Latin America
according to review GenBeta, the Remitly firm based its search on a very simple phrase: “How to be a…?” in Google. And depending on the region, the options were changing. Let’s start at home: Chili. What are Chilean youth looking for as an activity to engage in and earn a daily living?
youtuber. That is what is most sought after in Chile. Our neighbors in Peru, Bolivia and Argentina go to the same north. Peruvians, Bolivians and Uruguayans also want to be a YouTuber, while Argentines aim for influencers.
Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela they replicate the Argentines and the only one different from the region is Brazil, which in their searches ranked first as being a businessman, for a reason they are the best economy on the continent.
Mexico appears on the radar with the same desire to produce an influencer and in the United States things change towards the pilots.
The company Remitly has published this map based on global Google searches in 2022 with the beginning “how to be a…” and a profession at the end of the sentence. The results have been classified by country.
