March and April will be the months dedicated to seeing Coldplay in Mexico as part of the tour of their most recent album, Music of the Spheres, released in October of last year.
The British band will perform in Monterrey, Guadalajara and, of course, Mexico City, where it will offer four concerts.
After several years of waiting, Coldplay fans in Mexico say they are ready to see the British band once again live, whether in Monterrey, Guadalajara or Mexico City.
This day begins the Mexican tour of the group led by Chris Martin in which, initially, they will step on the stage of the BBVA Stadium, Los Rayados de Monterrey’s stadium, to later move to the city of Guadalajara and finally in the Foro Sol de la Mexico City.
The London quartet is already in Aztec land and some fans have been lucky enough to meet the members at the airport.
If something has characterized Coldplay’s concerts in recent years, it’s making songs that, in some way, are a reference in the places and/or cities they visit.
Such is the case of one of their concerts in Argentina, where the band, as a tribute, made their version of the song “De Música Ligera”, original by the South American trio Soda Stereo, but this is not the only case, since In countries like the Dominican Republic, the band has covered bachata icon Juan Luis Guerra.
Now, facing his next presentations in Mexico, he has asked one of the fans he met at the airport for help to find out which Mexican song would be good to sing at the concerts he will offer as part of the tour of his latest album, Music of the Speres.
Thanks to a video that has been shared on social networks, you can see the moment when Coldplay singer Chris Martin is recommended to sing “Cielito Lindo” because it is a “super Mexican” song.

Coldplay in Mexico presenting their most recent album, Music of the Spheres
Everything seems to indicate that a version of “Cielito Lindo” will be playing at the next Coldplay concerts in Mexico, although that could change from one moment to another and surprise their fans with another song.
What is clear is that the British quartet, faithful to their custom, will be improvising a bit with Mexican songs in order to offer a much bigger show to fans who have been waiting for years for the return of Chris Martin and company.
Coldplay will close their Mexican tour in Mexico City, a place they have not visited since 2016 when they presented their A Head Full of Dreams Tour with three sold-out dates at the Foro Sol.
Now, on the tour of Music of the Spheres, their most recent album, the band will offer four shows on April 3, 4, 6 and 7, for which, according to what has been reported, there are still some tickets available.
It should be noted that the tickets are priced between 480 pesos and 2,080 pesos for each of the dates scheduled in CDMX.
