On May 26, CoinEx Charity officially started a campaign called “More than 10,000 books for children’s dreams”. The worldwide book donation activity was held around International Children’s Day, and the units are a special gift to little ones in poor areas around the world.
As stated by the company, early childhood reading can create a level playing field in education. A high-quality early reading program helps children reach their full developmental potential and gain the knowledge and skills they need to be successful in school.
In 2022, CoinEx Charity established the Billionaire Charity Fund to meet the needs of children’s education around the world. Now a third of the book donation journey has been completed, reaching four countries, the campaign, which ended on June 20, brought book donations to several countries such as: Turkey; Syria; Thailand; Vietnam; Indonesia; Nigeria; Malaysia; India; Brazil; Germany; South Korea.
On May 26, the first stop of the CoinEx Charity book donation campaign arrived in Antioch, Turkey, where 2,000 units were donated to 5 local schools and new shelves were provided for each school. The corridor was well received by teachers and students of these educational institutions.
After 11 years of war in Syria, the COVID-19 pandemic and an economic crisis, the education of Syrian children and youth has been severely disrupted, leaving more than 2.4 million youth out of school, according to data from Unicef.
CoinEx Charity donated 1,000 books and established a reading corner to boost the education of Syrian children at Dummar Modern School on May 28. Books were also donated to poor areas in Indonesia, Nigeria, India, Malaysia, Brazil, Germany and South Korea bringing this special gift to local children and spreading love and knowledge through books.
CoinEx Charity hopes that these books will instill an interest in reading in children and help them reach a world beyond home and community and realize a wider range of possibilities.
During the campaign, According to the solidarity sector of the stock market, more than 13,000 books were donated. Now, the company hopes that the nations and institutions that have received the grants will build multiple reading rooms to provide better learning spaces, allowing children to read and learn passionately anytime, anywhere.
