- The Colima Virtual Judgment Unit has the largest number of dictators.
- Through this unit, Cofepris has managed to handle around 1,550 procedures nationwide.
- This translates into new generic drugs available, new vaccines and more regulated establishments.
The Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (Cofepris) reports advances in the digitization strategy to combat the lag that this institution historically reported. An example is the implementation of the Virtual Opinion Unit (UDV) in the state of Colimawith the largest number of reviewers that an entity has made available.
Given the achievements of the UDV at the national level in attention to the backwardness, cofepris has replicated this model in the health agencies of the federal entities. In the state of Colima there are 17 specialized reviewers of the State Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (Coespris), who since October 3 have handled more than 250 procedures.
What does it work for?
Through the UDV, the health authority has managed to attend around 1,550 procedures nationwide, benefiting Mexicans. This translates into new generic drugs available, new vaccines and more regulated establishments.
During the work tour headed by the federal commissioner, Alejandro Svarch Perezit was reported that along with three other states, Colima has joined with enormous commitment and capable personnel who are willing to learn and with great dedication.
“Today we proudly say that Colima is the state with the most opinion makers in the UDV of the Federal Health System. His work stands out at a national level, and without a doubt it serves as an example for the rest of the country and our Coeprises”.
In what states do they exist?
It should be noted that the four states that have implemented virtual opinion units are Baja California, Campeche, Colima and Guerrero. In all cases, the training of specialized personnel in the management of digital tools has been promoted to attend to the procedures presented to the health authority.
During the award ceremony for the work of the reviewers, the head of cofepris He thanked the presence of the General Director of Health Services of the Mexican Institute of Social Security for Well-being (IMSS-Welfare), Gisela Lara Saldaña, who was an honorary witness. Likewise, she expressed to the Coespris staff that her work translates into well-being, health and greater protection for the health of Mexicans.
The UDV in Colima, based in the State Public Health Laboratory of the entity, was visited by the Commissioner for Sanitary Operation, Bertha Alcalde Luján; the general coordinator of the Federal Health System, Carlos Aguilar Acosta; the Secretary of State Health, Martha Janeth Espinosa Mejía; and the State Commissioner for Protection against Sanitary Risks, Tania Ireri Ríos Cuevas.
With these actions, Cofepris reaffirms itself as an agile, fair and transparent health authority; at the same time that it promotes in national territory, the operation of institutions free of interests and committed to the health of the population.
