To create the anthology, the team harnessed the insights of three award-winning directors from the production company prettybird: Vellas (Brazil), JB Braud (France) and Alex Buono (United States). They each directed a short film inspired by a central creative idea: the power of Christmas to achieve “memorable and magical” moments.
The short film ‘Alma’ is set in a town in Mexico, famous for making Christmas decorations throughout the year for the entire world. There you no longer feel the magic of Christmas, until an event happens to rekindle it.
‘Les Petits Mondes De Noël’ is a love story that unfolds between two estranged lovers who work, by their side, in a record store and a bookstore near Paris, and who rekindle their connection while creating the decorative showcases for the Christmas Holidays.
‘Christmas Bites’ is a comedy set in the United States about a vampire who meets his girlfriend’s parents for the first time, and what happens when he meets Santa, his longtime rival.
Various brands have found in the festivities, such as Day of the Dead or Christmas, a framework to generate content that allows them to reinforce the engagement with your consumers and attract new audiences through various touch points.
“Christmas has always been a special time for our brand. This year, with our anthology series, we’re excited to break new ground and find new ways to connect with new audiences,” says Selman Careaga, global president, Coca-Cola Brand. .
“Christmas provides a wonderful creative canvas for storytelling,” added Pratik Thakar, Coca-Cola Global Head of Creative Strategy and Content.
Coca-Cola said it will look to work with other writers, filmmakers and producers to bring more magical stories to life under the ‘Magic for Real Presents’ umbrella.
Tanner Elton, Vice President of Sales for Amazon Ads, said the short film will reach audiences in 13 countries and will be powered by branded content on Fire TV and IMDb, as well as personalized bags from Amazon Fresh.
“We’re opening up multiple possibilities, multiple ways for customers to discover these short films on Prime Video,” Elton says. “This show exemplifies the growing opportunities to create new forms of entertainment and engage audiences through an enhanced experience,” he concludes.
