Cinemex closes its rooms in the CNA
The Cinemex entertainment company announced that since on Monday, August 15, its branch in the CNA permanently turned off his screen.
Through a press release, the cinema chain thanked its customers for their preference and announced that it is setting up a new branchwhich will premiere in October in the commercial square Machine Pointlocated on Miguel Ángel de Quevedo avenue.
The closing of the movie theater caused nostalgia among its customers, who considered this place as “the most beautiful and comfortable in CDMX”. Given this gesture, Cinemex gave the fans who nostalgically said goodbye to this room of the National Center for the Arts, free tickets in other of its branches.
“Thank you for making Cinemex CNA your favorite cinema for so many years!”, Cinemex said.
Let us remember that the Cinemex headquarters at the National Center for the Arts was the first multiplex complex in the country, which was designed by Javier Sordo Madaleno in 1995. The Sordo Madaleno group has been in charge of other iconic projects in the country such as the Santa Fe Shopping Center, Antara Polanco, Satellite Square and University Square.
In that sense, before being part of the Cinemex ‘family’, the movie theaters located in the CNA, on Avenida Río Churubusco, belonged to the Cinemark chain.
Maybe it wasn’t the Cinemex with the best service, or with the best food… or with the best sound XD But it was certainly the most beautiful and comfortable in CDMX.

This closure is not the only one that has moved Mexican consumers to the point of sharing it on social networks, let us remember that on one occasion the closure of Sanborns in San Ángel, which is located in front of the Parque de la Bombilla and is emblematic, among the branches of this firm in Mexico.
In this sense, brands are very aware of how their consumers react, especially on social networks.
