4G processor and HarmonyOS for the Huawei P50
Huawei has had a lot of trouble announcing its next series of high-end mobiles. The Chinese multinational, remember, cannot do business freely with American companies. Huawei has also been affected by the global shortage of semiconductors, making it practically impossible to get hold of processors. Finally, the firm has opted for a 4G version of the Snapdragon 888 for the Huawei P50 to be launched in the global market. Meanwhile, the limited stock of Kirin 9000 with 5G would go to the Asian market.
The design of the Huawei P50 Pro, which will be Huawei’s flagship, was shown by the company during the HarmonyOS launch event, standing out for its gigantic camera module, its curved edges and a very elegant golden color on the back.
The rest of the specifications, such as the screen, RAM configuration and internal memory or battery, could be very similar to those we see on smartphones, like the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, OnePlus 9 Pro or Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. The P50 series will also arrive with HarmonyOS as the operating system.
