“Of course I keep imagining cool things, that’s why I came to do cool things with them. I believe that many people can benefit and start to build wealth little by little. This is the beginning of something very cool for everyone. I would have loved to have these opportunities when I started to earn my little money,” Chicharito said during a presentation to the media.
For their part, the founders of 100 Bricks They were very enthusiastic about “signing” the athlete as their new shareholder.
“It was he who proposed us to enter the heart of the startup, so that with the quality of our platform and the great reach of its public, we can take the message and patrimonial benefits of 100 Ladrillos to as many Mexicans as possible,” he said. Hugo Blum, CEO of 100 Brickswhen introducing his new partner.
The ‘Chicharito investor’ does exist
At 34, the Mexican soccer player has tried his luck in business with a watch company and even in the world of cigars. He has also dabbled in the growing gaming industry: in his spare time he is a video game streamer and last year he created the podcast We are Robotswhere he talks about mental health.
Now, Javier Hernández ventures as an investor with 100 Ladrillos.
Hernández assures that the project has interested him since he met it, because it helps people make profits by investing in real estate in a simpler way. “These are properties that you may not be able to pay for in full, but you can buy a ‘brick’, a part, and start generating profits with the income from that property”he explained.
“What was born as the search for a collaboration with someone like him, who dreams cool things like us, progressed to become a partner, which speaks of his confidence in the company. We welcome Javier with open arms to the 100 Ladrillos family”, added the also founder of the startup.
Iván Carmona, commercial director and co-founder of 100 Ladrillos emphasizes that this association “is the sign that as Mexicans we can unite to achieve a common good.” He highlighted that they are the first digital platform for real estate assets in Mexico with a crowdfunding model.
“In 100 Ladrillos, any Mexican can start buying bricks from 1,500 pesos. Our financial product offers an estimated annual return of 17%, which is made up of 7% of rents plus capital gains, making the value of each brick and the monthly rent grow year after year”, explained Carmona.
“Not only footballers, we all have to think about the future,” says Chicharito
In addition to his sports career, Javier is focused on this new investment and plans to be a very active partner in the startup.
“Investing part of the economy commits me to be present in this process, to get involved beyond my image or capital. I think this will continue to grow and I am very happy to be able to be part of this process”, added the athlete from Guadalajara, who also stars in the new advertising campaign.
As for looking for new opportunities, financial and professional, ‘Chicharito’ Hernández is clear about what’s next for him.
“Of course I will continue to diversify, not only in my investments, but as a person. I really believe in personal growth, in the evolution of each human being, and I know that time is passing, the years are passing, and it is important that you move. You can start from scratch in any field. Many of us were told that money is earned in a certain way, that if you are a footballer you are only a footballer, and no”.
