Windows 11 was released just over 9 months ago, but we still haven’t seen its final form. A new ad in official blog of the operating system confirms that the company is working on bringing an old function back. It is the search bar of Windows 10, although quite renewed.
The search bar can be found in the taskbar, as we already did in Windows 11. In addition, this would not be the only novelty.
Currently, Windows 11 has direct access to the taskbar search function. Of course, it is an icon in the shape of a magnifying glass that we can press to execute this feature. However, one of the experiments shows a reduced taskbar, although we also see another of the prototypes with a slightly longer length. Likewise, they also seem to be testing a new magnifying glass icon, although it is probably a simple aesthetic change.
microsoft intends to know the opinion of users before pushing this change to all computers. In this way, only those people who are part of the experimental tests of Windows 11 will be able to access them. Of course, that they are being tested is not a confirmation that this change will come, since it is only an experiment.
Other changes that would come to Windows 11
On the other hand, this would not be the only function that would come to Windows 11. According to the company’s publication, the widget section would release notification indicators on the taskbar icon.
The shape of this indicator is quite similar to the one we already found in the Windows 11 Action Center, to the right of the taskbar. In addition to this, when you open the widget section, A brief explanation of what caused it will appear. the appearance of the indicator in this area.
Amanda Langowski, head of windows insidercomments that “When you open the Widgets dashboard, a banner will appear at the top of the dashboard with more information about what caused the notification badge.”
The Windows 11 camera app would also get a revamp. It seems that from Windows Insider they are testing a new interface for the app. According to the above, it would have a more current design to better integrate with the aesthetic section of the new system.
Finally, Media Player will receive an update. The program will finally be able to “burn” discs and convert them to AAC, WMA, FLAC and ALAC format. Until now, this was not possible, although fortunately it is a declining art.
