A year and a half after its launch, the development of Cyberpunk 2077 keep giving what to talk about. As you know, the release of this game was anything but optimal. Hundreds of bugs and glitches on consoles affected the player experience. Now, it was recently revealed that this may well not be CD Projekt Red’s fault, but of a study that was in charge of the quality control of the title.
Recently, a document was leaked where CD Projekt Red mentions that the work carried out by Quantic Lab, the main company in charge of quality control in Cyberpunk 2077, was not optimal. Here it is mentioned that the company did not correctly detect the bugsand lied to the developers about the status of the project.
As if that were not enough, Quantic Lab is also accused of exaggerating the number of people who tried the game, as well as covering the daily quotas looking for the largest number of small bugs, leaving important problems aside. Along with this, it is also said that the company does not have a veteran staff, instead, it has workers with less than six months of experience.
Upon releasing this official information, Stefan Seicarescu, CEO of Quantic Lab, shared the following statement with PCGamesN:
“The video posted on social media begins with incorrect statements about the history of Quantic Lab. [Y] There seems to be a lack of understanding in the process of how a game is tested before it is released.
All of our client dealings are confidential, but global publishers generally work with multiple QA outsourcing companies, not relying on just one, in addition to in-house developer-level QA resources at most of the cases. Project direction is agreed and adjusted accordingly based on requirements in real time with our customers.”
For its part, CD Projekt Red has not issued a statement responding to Seicarescu’s comments.. Although almost two years have passed since the launch of cyberpunk 2077, the release of the game continues to haunt the reputation of all those who worked on this project.
On related topics, on related topics, Cyberpunk 2077 on PS5 and Xbox Series X | S it is a success. Similarly, here you can see the first trailer for the anime of the game.
Editor’s note:
It is clear that Cyberpunk 2077 It had a lousy launch on consoles. However, rather than pinpointing a culprit, developers should focus entirely on fixing their bugs. The PS5 and Xbox Series X|S version is pretty good, we just have to wait and see what will happen with the additional content.
